Formerly Meridith's American Bistro, this charming neighborhood gem on Lancaster Avenue in the heart of Berwyn has received a new look and a new name! Aneu Bistro is a casual and sophisticated restaurant and Wine Bar offering fresh American fusion cuisine and a full-service bar. Our goal is to provide quality cuisine, excellent service, and create the perfect setting for you to relax and gather with family and friends. Sip a martini or enjoy a glass of one of our many wines at our full-service bar, complete with bar menu beginning at 3pm daily. We also offer Saturday and Sunday brunch and seasonal menu changes.

Meridith McLoughlin
Restaurateur, Caterer, and Event Planner since 1992. Meridith grew up working all areas of her parents' family business, Binni and Flynn’s, as well as in all of the 29 restaurants her family owned. Meridith started her career directly out of graduate school with her father in their hugely successful breakfast joint, Fresh Ideas, in Paoli shopping center. From there Meridith went on to own and operate stands in the Wayne, Ardmore and Manayunk farmer’s markets. By great demand the catering began... Inspired by local, seasonal, and healthy ingredients, Meridith started catering large and small events for the loyal customers who had become her friends. Soon she opened Meridith’s Market in Berwyn with the idea of being a little cafe with the catering food coming out of the wonderful kitchen. With just the signature brunch and lunches the restaurant was an instant success. Dinner service was quick to follow this success. In the blink of an eye, Meridith were running a hugely successful restaurant along with a corporate and residential catering company. In 2010 Aneu Bistro & Wine Bar became the restaurant and catering company's new vision. They combined all of their energies with the incredible talent in the kitchen and created the new exciting brand Aneu! It is with great pride that they now are running a beautiful restaurant and wine bar, and also doing dinner corporate catering and beautiful events under the brand Aneu Events. When not working, Meridith is the mother of 3 beautiful daughters who are often seen helping out in the restaurant – Alexandra, 15, Keegan, 13, and Georgia, 12.
Mark Gaines
Hailing from Oreland, Mark Gaines is a completely natural fit at Aneu Bistro. As we often pride ourselves in our fresh ideas and fresh creations, Mark has been a wonderful addition to our family and we all feed off his enthusiasm. Having worked nearly every position within a restaurant, it's quite clear that Mark has a passion for this business. When asked where the passion stems from , Mark replied, "I love interacting with people. Meeting different types of people and creating a wonderful dining experience for them is what drives my passion for the restaurant business." However, there is one industry that could lead Mark away. His passion for music is evident from the moment you meet him. Hence, one of Mark's first decisions as General Manager was to have live music on Friday nights. Please don't hesitate to strike up a conversation with Mark when you see him. He will be happy to talk with you about almost anything!
Chris Heeke
It doesn't take very long to figure out that Executive Chef Chris Heeke is not a native Philadelphian. His strong accent clearly indicates that he comes from Staten Island. However, Chris has quickly taken to Philadelphia's charm in his first four months here and plans on staying for a very long time! Considering his extensive experience at great New York City restaurants like Pasticceria Bruno and Rachel's American Bistro, he has developed a diverse culinary style. Still, Chris is naturally drawn to Italian cooking and those influences tend to work their way into his food. Chris works a lot, but on his rare days off he enjoys visiting a farmer's market and sampling local cuisine to find inspiration. Like Mark Gaines, Chris absolutely loves interacting with people. More importantly, he enjoys cooking for people. So, come visit Chris and Mark very soon! They look forward to giving you a wonderful dining experience here at Aneu Bistro!
